Grove Society Museum

The Evansville Grove Society focuses on preserving, interpreting, and supporting the records, artifacts and historic structures of Evansville, Wisconsin as well as encouraging genealogical research and engaging people in learning more about Evansville’s history.

Barn Quilts

Evansville, Wisconsin has over 80 barn quilts in the area, the highest concentration of this unique art form in Rock County.

What are barn quilts? They are quilt block patterns painted on wood, usually 2-foot, 4-foot or 8-foot square. The patterns vary from historical quilt blocks to custom- designed squares. The quilt is then displayed on a barn, or in some cases, on a residence or business.
